Self Care Sunday

Wow what a week it has been, It’s been a very busy week. Sunday’s are usually my only day off.
Most of the day I would rather do nothing, but Sundays I like to treat myself with self care.
With everything happening in the world right now, things can be scary, hectic, chaotic.
Taking a break from the chaos is a mustfor our well-being.

If you’re having a rough day, week, month or year – it’s important that you make time to care for yourself a little every day by implementing one (or more) of the following self-care ideas.
Hopefully, you’ll find a self-care practice that feels right and works for you.

1. If it doesn’t feel right – don’t do it
Makes sense doesn’t it? Save your energy on things that actually bring you joy.

2. Unplug for a few hours or even a whole day
An hour off your phone or computer is better than nothing.
Sunday is a good day for unplugging.

3. Get some fresh air
Go for a 30-minute walk and listen to some music, audiobooks, podcasts or just listen to the sounds of nature.

4. Light candles
Lightening candles can change the vibes in any room my favourite candles are from Dusk
and Kmart

5. Bake some cookies
Bake from scratch or even buying the store bought cake mixes and go from there.

6. Listen to your favorite music
I’ve got some great playlists on Spotify if you want to check them out

7. De-clutter
There is something feel-good and really fulfilling about cleaning out the wardrobe, your bedroom any type of room in your house really and getting rid of things you no longer need.

8. Take a warm bath
Bubbles, wine, and good tv show or music is just heaven.

9. Face masks
Refresh and revive your skin by putting on a face mask.

10. Do your Nails
The way I do my nails is I usually simple if I’m honest, a nude/cream colour or just black. Here are some of my favourite brands from Myer

11. Journal
What I love with journaling is are no rules, with my journal, I have photos, my favourite things, clip outs from magazines. If you ever need inspo Pinterest is your best friend

12. Meditate
Headspace
Calm are my go-to apps for mediation.

13. Watch Movies
Nothing beats watching old school movies from the 90’s, 2000’s. Comment below if you me to do a list of my favorite movies

14. Drink Some Tea
Tea is my favourite hot drink. What I love about tea is there so many different varieties. My favorite tea ‘Melbourne Breakfast’ from T2

15. Take a quick nap
There’s nothing a 20-minute nap won’t solve, right?

16. Exercise
Go for a walk, run, even do some weights you can even dance. Anything to get your body moving and your heart pumping.

17. Make sure to implement a little self-care every day 🙂
You can’t just do self care once a week. You should self care everyday.
